Integration Activities

From August 7 to 18

From August 7 to 20, the Centre d’études collégiales à Chibougamau offers a program of activities and workshops to help you get familiar with your environment and meet new students!

Welcome and Registration Days

August 19

Welcome and registration Days will take place on Tuesday, August 19 at 9:00 AM in the college gymnasium.

It is important to be present.

On this day, you will have the opportunity to:

  • meet the staff;
  • obtain your schedule, locker, and planner;
  • pay your tuition fees if not already done;
  • create your Col.Net and Microsoft 365 access;
  • choose your elective courses;
  • meet the adapted services and student life;
  • and much more!

Start of classes

August 21

Classes will begin on August 21 according to your schedule, which will be available on Col.Net starting August 18.

Cancellation of registration

If you wish to cancel your registration for the Fall 2025 semester, it is essential to notify as soon as possible the School Organization Service before classes start on August 21.

Additional information

Downloading the Coba Campus application

 

 

Coba Campus is a mobile application used in conjunction with the Col.Net portal (available in French only). Through it, you will be able to receive notifications and you will have access to various modules*:

 

MY AGENDA: allows you to view your scheduled activities (timetable, appointments, exam requests, assignments to submit, etc.).

MY COURSES: allows you to view your enrollment and assessments.

MY MESSAGES: allows you to communicate with your teachers and classmates.

IDENTITY CARD: Allows you to view your student card for the current session.

*Note that you may still need to access the full website occasionally, as some functions are not available on a smartphone or tablet, including the confirmation of your course selections.

 

To install Coba Campus on your mobile device:

  1. Go to your Col.Net application.
  2. Click on the download link for the Android or Apple application (black rectangle).

Use the same credentials to sign in as your Col.Net account. Don’t forget to select the institution “Centre d’études collégiales à Chibougamau” during installation and activate notifications in the “Settings” section.

Technology kit

A technology kit is available on the student intranet*. This kit will have all the essential information related to the use of technology at the Centre d’études collégiales in Chibougamau (CECC), including:

  • How to connect to the College’s digital platforms and environment
  • What digital tools are available to you during your studies
  • Where to get IT support
  • How to access Wi-Fi
  • How to print documents
  • And plenty of other information to help you use the technology at your disposal to aid you during your studies

Feel free to consult the kit at the beginning of the semester and revisit it as many times as necessary, as it will be useful throughout your academic journey.

Locker reservation

You can reserve a locker on Col.Net as soon as you have received your schedule, which will be available as of August 18.

Procedure for reserving a locker:

  1. Log in to the Col.Net portal
  2. Click on “Lockers”
  3. Click on “Take this place” next to the chosen locker

If you don’t yet have access to Col.Net, you will be able to get your locker during the Registration Day on August 19.

Student ID card

The student ID card is no longer printed for everyone since it will be available on the Coba Campus mobile application.

Student life activities schedule

To learn more about the activities offered by student life, check the monthly activity calendar at the entrance of the College.

Sports activities

Sports activities will be presented to you during Welcome Day, and the schedule will be posted on the gymnasium door.

Laptop

Your laptop is an essential tool for your studies

To help ensure your studies can be as successful and efficient as possible, we strongly recommend that you get a laptop computer. It is an essential tool to help you make the most of the learning software, platforms and resources you will need for your studies.

Before purchasing a computer, please be aware that minimum specifications are required.

Purchasing equipment

When you attend a class for the first time, you will receive a list of the materials you will need to obtain.
